Welcome Backstory readers to a special COVER REVEAL edition!!! While I am excited to host our very first cover reveal, I am even more excited that this reveal belongs to one of my very first critique partners, the incredible Jason Perkins. Jason's rockin' story ROCKSTARS DON'T NAP (HarperCollins, 23) is going to delight children and grownups alike and the addition of Cale Atkinson's illustrations took this book into the stratosphere!

And now, the moment you came here for!

Taking the main stage for the first time, Jason Perkins and Cale Atkinson's cover for ROCK STARS DON'T NAP!

With a cover like this fans will be rushing the stage to get their hands on it and fainting in bookstores.

And a concert wouldn't be complete without a little encore. So if you want to learn a bit more about ROCKSTARS DON'T NAP and its author, Jason Perkins, keep reading until the house lights come up.

Here's a little sneak peek from Jason about ROCK STARS DON'T NAP and how it came to be.

Jimmy was born to rock, but when showtime becomes naptime, his rock star life begins to spiral out of control. Now, he’ll need to give the performance of a lifetime, otherwise, his rocking days are over.

After my son was born, my wife and I decided that, once her maternity leave was over, I would take six months off from teaching in order to stay home with him. It was an amazing time, but naptime was always a struggle. So one day, after trying every trick in the book, I decided if we weren’t going to nap, we were going to rock. (At a very safe volume of course!) I set him down in his swing and opened up a new Metallica Record I had just bought. He was intrigued as I placed it on my turntable and dropped the needle. Less than a minute into Enter Sandman, I looked over and he was out cold.

“What a rock star,” I thought, and the idea took off from there. After countless revisions, I queried my future agent, Natascha Morris of the Tobias Literary Agency. I signed with her shortly after, and we took Rock Stars Don’t Nap on submission. Luana Horry, an executive editor at Harper Collins came back with an amazing offer a few months later. And now, thanks to the amazing work of Luana, Illustrator Cale Atkinson, Designer Erica DeChavez, and many more, I’m finally able to share it with the world.

ROCK STARS DON'T NAP goes on tour 11/14/23. Mark your calendars and be on the lookout for preorder information coming soon.

Well before starting a full-time career in the watch world, there was already no doubt in my mind that link one of Vacheron Constantin's greatest strengths has been making great technical watches informed by, but not wedded to, the brand's history. For all the success of last year's link announcement of the 222 and the link demand for the Overseas (like any luxury stainless steel watch), I think people have lost sight of what Vacheron excels at.
