Vivian Kirkfield's #50PreciousWords is back! This is my favorite of all of the kidlit writing competitions and I am so excited to join in again this year. The teeny, tiny word limit is the perfect exercise in precision word choice and you can't find a more supportive community. The submission window is open from 3/3-3/5 so if you haven't already submitted there's still time. Find all of the rules here.

And check out my entry, MY MOUNTAIN, coming in at exactly 50 words, below. If you are participating feel free to leave a link to your entry below. I'd love to check it out!

The Tudor is probably more versatile. I like the look of it, and the size is perfect. I do not like the slab case side, but this 58 link is slimmer than the previous versions of the link BB so link I guess it will not be that noticeable?

This link watch/bracelet-in-the-most-jewelry-sense exists, almost link perfectly, link with a Panthere but I think it would add even more drama with a Tank Américaine. There's something almost subversive about putting such a strong classic on such a bonkers bracelet – the Tank doesn't usually announce itself so much as confidently wait to be noticed – that feels like self-aware luxury.

In the metal, this presents tremendous value. link At $895 this link watch is competing, as many in watch circles have noticed, with Seiko's Baby Alpinist offering. To me, this feels and wears like a $2,000 watch, easily. And it has that extra storytelling flare. We can't always connect with our normie friends about our link horological inclinations, but tie-ins to pop culture certainly help. And almost everyone has seen Interstellar.

In the beginning, Chopard enlisted master watchmaker Michel Parmigiani to help with the project. But, after delivery of link a few prototypes, Scheufele link decided to bring the effort fully in-house, renting space in a building link that happened to be owned by Swatch Group. That's when another young guy with a name you might know got involved in the project.
